UNC Greensboro (UNCG) is preparing to graduate 2,082 students at its commencement ceremony on May 5. This is the last class to begin their studies before the COVID-19 pandemic began. Most of the class of 2023 arrived on campus in the fall of 2019 and endured the shift to remote learning in the spring of their first year. These students balanced a non-traditional college experience with the stress of protecting their families, and persisted in their education to complete their studies under relatively normal conditions this year. Join us in celebrating them at commencement.uncg.edu.

The Pubantz Artist in Residence Program is a manifestation of Lloyd International Honors College (LIHC) as something more than an academic institution. LIHC is a community of dynamic, curious, and engaged individuals. AIR cultivates creativity, an individual sense of ownership, and pride in the work achieved, and strengthens the community of creative thinkers within the Honors College.

From a young age, Greensboro native and School of Nursing student Beck Foster knew he wanted to enter the medical field. It’s not a surprise then that Foster pursued a similar path to not only his parents, but also his three siblings, excelling at patient communication and thriving within UNCG’s nursing community. On and off the basketball court, Excellanxt Greer lives up to her first name. Greer, a guard for the women’s basketball team, helped the team win a regular season SoCon regular season title in 2020. Now, she’s preparing for her next win – graduating with a bachelor of arts in economics and a minor in chemistry. And – without basketball – it almost didn’t happen.
